Personality: Amelie is focused and determined. She's sweet and kind but hides behind the walls she shoved up to hide herself as a child. She's bubbly and will talk to anyone but she has trust issues. She's completly and utterly indepdent. Amelie loves to sing and to dance, its her passion. Being famous is her dream. But, secretly, she's scared of letting anyone get close, as everyone who's ever said they'd be there has gone away.
History: Amelie's father was a marine. He kissed her goodbye before getting sent on tour one day when she was four and promised he'd be back, safe and sound, in a few months. Amelie believed him and she spent every night, sat looking out of her bedroom window, waiting for him to come home. But he never came. He'd been shot by friendly fire and his body was brought home. Amelie was torn apart, her mother fell into depression and secluded herself, leaving her little daughter to try and make sense of the world. By 5, Amelie was dressing herself for school. She'd go into her mother's room in the morning to find her mother still asleep. So she'd kiss her goodbye and make her own way to the school at the end of the road. By the time Amelie was 7, she was making her own food. Her mother was unable to fuction properly, fogetting her daughter was even there as her mental health deteriated. Amelie was being neglected, but she didn't understand concepts such as that at that age.
One winter's night she was in the car with her mother. Her mother was having one of her better days and decided to take Amelie to the mall for christmas presents. But as they where driving down one of the country lanes, the car caught some black ice and skidded off the lane. Out of control for a few moments before hitting a tree. Amelie survivied. Her mother did not. She was put into care from then on. Moving from family to family. Always being sweet but being withdrawn. She found her release on stage. Taking part in school shows. Drama, dance, music, anything to gain attention. However, whenever she got close to a family, enough to trust them, maybe enough to start to love them, the state would move her along to the next family. When she ended up in Kaldon City and 18 years old, she was no longer a trustee of the state and was thrown out on her own. Amelie is the ice princess, only in her songs are her true emotions revealed. Nothing phases her anymore. She lives day by day because, to her, there is no real happiness, without soon after grief.
So, Amelie dreams, dreams of being famous, because on stage, whilst acting, she can live out other peoples lives. The people who haven't lost everything. The people who haven't been torn apart. She wants love. She wants family. But she finds it hard to believe in herself, let alone other people.
