Personality: Damen is the complete opposite of his twin sister Ella. He is kind and caring and believes in love. He also has a secret hatred for his species. Before he found his wife, Damen would have quite happily have given up immortatily for humanity. He sees everyone as equal and believes that everyone deserves a second chance no matter what they've done wrong in thier lives. He keeps his emotions at the surface and has a darkness within him. He would also die for his wife.
History: Damen is the slightly younger twin brother of his sister Ella Corkindale. He was born to Lamia parents as an Irish nobleman. As a teenager, he leanrt to control his blood lust and began feeding of animals instead of humans. Around that time, he found solitude in the arms of a fellow nobleman, who was hiding terrible secrets from him. The relationship turned to bloodshed. The events something that Damen despises to this day.
Damen pledged his life to helping people, a control over his bloodlust enabled him to study medicine. He was lonley for a very long time after leaving Ireland, hating his nature. That was until in Southern France around the late 1900's he fell in love with a woman named Sophia. They where truely, madly and deeply in love yet he refused to ever turn her. He didn't want to pass on the curse of vampirism. They where together for nearly 70 years before she died of old age in his arms. He found comfort in the form of a vampire friend Sapphire. Unknowningly to him, she was in love. When thier feelings emerged, Damen ran, still consumed with grief over Sophia. Shattering her heart.
Damen came to the city in search of his sister, trying and still failing to turn her towards a vampire vegetarian diet. That was when he found someone he'd long cared for. The reapparence of Sapphire set Damen into a spiral. He was in love with her from the moments they laid eyes on each other again. He'd always known they where soulmates. Even back to his days with Sophia. Yet he refused to believe it. Damen spent months trying to win back Sapphire's trust, her love. Before succedding and proposing at the Mayor's birthday party. Damen's come to terms with his nature. Not hating it nearly as much as he used to now that he's finally found the one he was meant to walk through the ages beside. Damen and Sapphire married, his heart and his soul eternally hers.
